Love and other drugs

Isn't that the name of a movie??
Well, that sums up February for us. It was a month of LOVE, and a month of a lot of perscription drugs.

February began with some harsh winter weather. Texas had two weeks of winter, and it was enough. Temperatures were below freezing, we actually had some snow, and schools were delayed because the roads were coated in black ice. Now its back up in the 70's. Thank goodness. Now we can go outside again!
Lydia had a Valentines party at school, and also had another dance performance at the mall where they performed to songs like "Can't Buy Me Love" and "I Love My Family." Her teacher came to us to tell us how proud she was of Lydia and how quickly she picks up all the moves. She was a star.

By the time February 14th got here, we were all knocked out by every virus imaginable. First, I was rendered useless with a horrible sinus infection that lasted over a week, and even gave me a fever! Then ALL of my girls got sick - Lydia and Claire had Strep and the Flu, and poor Scarlett had the Flu too. We were all running temperatures, and spent a lot of time on the couch. Our fridge is full of antibiotics and Tamiflu. So, needless to say, we didn't celebrate Valentines Day on the 14th. We waited a couple days to have our fancy candelight dinner and exchange cards & gifts. February was also a month of birthday parties for a lot of our friends. We've had a lot of birthday cake, chocolates, and cupcakes. Thank goodness the weather is nice, because we've been able to burn off those calories running around outside and going on bike/scooter rides.

We love this Texas winter!
