Father's Day weekend at the Marriott

We just got back from a long weekend at the JW Marriott Hill Country Resort near San Antonio. We were only there 3 days...but crammed in a lot of fun.
The main attraction is of course the waterpark.
There were lots of fun slides

 

There was a pretty long lazy river, which was Lydia & Claire's favorite. They learned they could swim super fast in the current, so they soon ditched me & the raft and just raced along in their life jackets, all giddy with their super-speed.

Scarlett wore herself out at the kiddie pool, but thankfully took good naps. She was so excited about swimming in "Da Wata! Da Wata!"



During the day there were a lot of other kid-friendly activities to choose from.
We got to see an animal show.

We got to make our own jewelry.

We participated in rubber ducky races in the lazy river. None of us won, but we got to keep our ducks, which somehow became the most loved toys of the week.

Claire is clearly not as invested in this one as her father is

In the evenings we roasted marshmallows and made s'mores.

AND...the best part of the weekend...Claire took off swimming without floaties! Even better - Lydia was happy to "teach" Claire to swim to her, and she'd catch her. It was fun to watch, especially from our cozy lounge chairs ;)

The real reason this weekend was so fun...

 

...three beautiful, funny, and always happy little girls. And a great father who loves doing fun things with them.
