My little Claire is 3 years old. Wow. She's always been my cuddly little Claire-bear, my clingy toddler, but in the last year she has really grown up to be a big girl... just like her big sis. She's into dress-ups and role-play and is unfortunately becoming picky about the clothes she wears. But one thing has stayed the same - this girl's got a lot of energy to have a lot of fun, and is still confident and driven.
For her birthday party we invited her girlfriends from her church nursery class over for a big playdate. We had a couple of splash pools, a bouncy castle, and our other backyard toys out for all the girls to enjoy. The biggest hit was this little waterslide.

Claire wanted a DORA party, so we got a Dora pinata for the girls. The younger ones were very polite to Dora...

But then Addy stepped up to bat and knocked Dora off the hook and into the window.

And Lydia finished her off...

At this point I am wishing I'd gotten a pinata that
wasn't shaped like a little girl. This image is a little disturbing. But we had a good laugh, and luckily Dora didn't have to suffer anymore, because the strings from her backpack unlocked the "magic door" that released all the candy.

Then we all sat down for lunch. Running + swimming + heat = lots of hungry little girls.

Then we had the birthday cake

And presents

Happy Birthday my sweet little Claire. No matter how old you are, I will always cuddle you in my arms as my little Claire-bear :)

Can't believe how grown up little Claire Bear looks. The party photos are 'awesome.' Looks like all the girls had loads of fun. Wish I could have been there. Love Pat. xx
